Feeling disconnected?

"Life is a strange thing -

Just when you think you've learned how to use it

It's gone."

Just a brief message for those of you who wonder about what to do with your life now that you are here. Life was given to us. Meaning was not. Every day we make choices, we create meaning, and we reach for our chosen goals.

A woman blurry in the dark

Have you become a ghostly shadow of yourself?

The message above and below is coming from Shakespeare's Sister "Hello (Turn Your Radio On). What do I do with my life?

You may have been tuned to your own radio-station; a station of one if nobody is a receiver.

You may have tuned out if the pain feels too much and the cost of living seems too high.

You may only hear the static if you are not finding the direction where the messages of life if strong.

You may have turned off your antenna if silence had been dominant for too long.

For many, finding a connection seems to take too long for the short life we humans are given. By the time we can finally shed our fears and feel connected to ourselves and to others, life is over.

Our hurts created our fears. Our fears created our defenses. Our defenses have been protecting us well from further hurts. Our protection has limited our growth. Now it's time to break out of the eggshell and step outside into the sunlight. Death happens to us all. Life we must choose. False moves and mistakes are inevitable. Pain is inevitable - suffering is optional. Joy comes from growing into citizenship of the universe. But growth is not cheap. Its cost is pain.

Life IS scary dangerous. And we are equipped to take it.

We can learn from our experiences. We can correct our mistaken beliefs. We can learn or re-learn to connect with other beings. We can start again. And again.

Because you are not as fragile as you might think.

"Does anybody really listen when I speak

Or do I have to say it all again next week?”
